On the coming 16 March Andreas Huyssen, Villard Professor of German and Comparative Literature at Columbia University, will deliver the conference "Urban imaginaries across borders" in the Royal Chapel of Santa Àgata, part of the Monumental Ensemble of the Plaça del Rei.

The cycle of conference Spaces, History and Future invites the citizens of Barcelona to reflect collectively on the future from a historical perspective. This reflection begins with the contributions made by the different participants of the conference, individuals who are world-renowned leaders in thought, intellectuals of international stature.
The literary critic and theoretician George Steiner opened the cycle, Spaces, History and Future with the conference "Remembering the Future" delivered in the Tinell Hall on 22 October 2007.
